The Community Unity Task Force invites people for a march across the Peace River on Saturday.
The sheriff’s office says it begins 8:30 from Laishley Park in Punta Gorda.
Shuttle buses transport people to the starting point in Port Charlotte.
The office says ths march across the river fosters peace, justice and community unity.
It also says this celebrates Punta Gorda’s role in building peaceful progress for everyone.
Only signs with peace, justice, or unity can make it across the river.
A program begins at Laishley Park at 10 o’clock. Sponsors and vendors have tables there through 2 o’clock.
