A person with a stolen car tried to register the vehicle in Manatee County before an employee realized the problem. The North River Branch was where the event took place when a customer tried to register a 2016 Range Rover valued at $75 thousand. The vehicle identification number had been changed by the customer in order for the vehicle not to appear on a national database of stolen cars. Police were contacted by the employee and seized the vehicle.
