One man was seriously injured when he crashed his riding lawn mower into an SUV in Port Charlotte. Police say the unidentified man was driving his lawn tractor on Hollis Avenue near SR-776 when he somehow failed to see an SUV heading in his path.
Officials say the man pulled out in front of the vehicle, which then hit him. The lawn mower operator was thrown from the machine and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown.
