A man is facing charges after deputies say he fired multiple rounds outside a Circle K on Siesta Key. Deputies were called to the store on Ocean Boulevard around 9pm Sunday after receiving multiple 911 calls about gunshots. When they arrived on scene they placed 33-year-old Michael Anders in handcuffs as they assessed what happened. They say Anders smelled strongly of alcohol and had an empty black nylon handgun holster on his right front hip. Deputies found nine spent 9mm casings and after speaking with Anders further, say he admitted that the gun was in the toolbox in the bed of his truck. Deputies retrieved the weapon and say they did not find any bullet holes and no one reported being injured.
