The investigation continues into what looks like the drowning death of a Venice man.
Deputies responded to a swimmer in distress yesterday afternoon in a canal in Chestnut Creek behind a residence on Bermuda Isles Circle.
The sheriff’s office says that its SURF Team found the body of 56-year-old Edward Stack after an hour and a half of searching.
Stack lived in that residence.
