A 32-year-old man died after a boating accident at the Pineland Marina according to his family. Johnny Ray Messer had two children.The Coast Guard said a call for help came in just after 10 a.m. this morning. The FWC said in a statement that three people were on a boat, and that Messer somehow was ejected. Witnesses tried to save him, but they were unsuccessful. The Coast Guard believes the boating accident happened in a canal leading up to the marina.
