One man was arrested after an argument led to him trying to shoot the mother of his ex-girlfriend in North Port.
Police say around 1145 Wednesday night, the woman told police she saw her daughter and 22-year old Dustin Owens getting into a car with their infant.
Owens allegedly had a domestic violence injunction in place.
When the two vehicles got to Ponce de Leon Boulevard and Dabarsky Avenue, Owens got out of his car and allegedly shot at her.
He is now charged with attempted murder, child neglect, false imprisonment and various other gun-related charges.
