A nearly 90-minute manhunt in North Port yesterday ended in the arrest of one man.
Police say an unidentified man held up a victim and stole money from him at Discount Tobacco and Beer in the 13000 block of Tamiami Trail.
Officers, a K9, and a helicopter all responded to the scene. The man was eventually taken into custody, where he allegedly confessed to the crime.
The stolen money has been recovered and returned to the victim.
