The Fort Hamer Bridge has been placed in the Top 10 North American Projects in Roads and Bridges magazine. The bridge, which came in at number seven is being praised for staying on schedule after Hurricane Irma. The two-lane bridge opened in October 2017 with paved bike lanes and a pedestrian overlook.
