SARASOTA COUNTY

Sarasota County has updated their green, yellow, red map showing what areas are most impacted and where citizens should travel. There are still several hazards from north to south. Please take this into consideration and do not travel into south county unless absolutely necessary.

Three additional Neighborhood Points of Distribution sites are now open.
Water and Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MREs) will be distributed today, Sunday, Oct. 2, at
✅ Englewood Center Plaza, 200 S. Indiana Ave., Englewood.
✅ San Pedro Catholic Church, 14380 Tamiami Trail, North Port.
✅ Hyundai of Venice, 200 Jacaranda Blvd., Venice.
✅ Twin Lakes Park, 6700 Clark Road, Sarasota.
✅ Venice Community Center, 326 S. Nokomis Ave, Venice.
Supplies will be available as they arrive and while they last or until 7 p.m.
More neighborhood points of distribution will come online and will be announced as supplies become available. #SRQCounty #HurricaneIan

CoastLife Church

Drop-Off date & time: Monday, October 3 – 8:00 to 10:00 AM and 4:00 to 7:00 PM
What items are needed?
Everything. There are varying levels & types of need in our community right now and a wide variety of care items would be helpful:
– Basic toiletries like shampoo, toothpaste, hairbrushes and toothbrushes, body wash & soap
– Clothing items like shirts, skirts, pants, hoodies/jackets, socks, and shoes
– Blankets, sheets, sleeping bags & pillows
– Nonperishable food items such as peanut butter, canned vegetables, canned soup, & cereal
– Bottled water, juice boxes
– Comfort items like stuffed animals, books, and games
*CoastLife Church will be hosting a BBQ dinner for those in need on Monday, October 3 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at their campus (2235 Seaboard Ave, Venice, FL 34293).
Grace Community Church will be the distribution site for these donated items; however, community organizers are still working out a schedule of dates/times for pick-up. We’ll share additional updates as soon as more information becomes available.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY
NEW distribution site opened in Punta Gorda that will have food, water and tarps! This site will be available from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at
10175 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda.
Remember that you can also get food and water at the Charlotte Sports Park located at 2300 El Jobean Rd., Port Charlotte from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Murdock Administration is NOT a distribution site.
The Charlotte County Utilities is currently working on providing water to west county from Rotonda outward. You may experience intermittent water service over the next few days.
Please contact the Emergency Management call center at 941-743-1320 or 941-833-4000 if you see a large amount of water coming out of the ground. We are working on repairing leaks as they are discovered.
