Gas prices in Southwest Florida continued to fall, just in time for the busy holiday driving season. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Bradenton-Sarasota-Venice market was $2.35 on Sunday, down 4 cents from last week and 13 cents from a month ago, though they remain 5 cents above last year. The cost of gas has now declined for five straight weeks. AAA said gas prices are expected to be at or near year-ago levels as we creep closer to the holidays. Statewide, gas averages $2.38 per gallon- the lowest since August 30th.
