Employees and officials with Florida Power and Light are returning the favor to states in New England after the remnants of Phillipe caused widespread damage and power outages in Maine, New Hampshire, and Connecticut over the weekend. More than 300 employees will be heading north this week to help out Central Maine Power in Maine and Eversource in Connecticut. It’s all part of an assistance agreement through the Southeastern Electric Exchange. Last month, workers from utilities throughout the country and Canada were in Florida to FPL with power restoration in the wake of Irma.
