The Venice Fire Department took care of a small brush fire at Venice Airport Thursday morning. The 50×50 fire started from a lightning strike in an area between the Intracoastal and Airport Fairgrounds. It started around 9:40 and took about 30 minutes to get under control and cleaned up.
