A new principal has been chosen to lead Lemarque Elementary School in North Port. Troy Thompson will take over on April 2, pending school board approval. He’s currently the assistant principal of Emma E. Booker Elementary. He was the assistant principal at Lemarque from 2013 – 2016 and has worked in the school district since 1998.
