A Lee County Sheriff’s Office captain has been named the new Chief of Police in North Port.
City Manager Peter Lear told ABC-7 yesterday that Todd Garrison has accepted the position, and will now go through the required background check and physical.
He has been with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office since 1994 and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
