Lee County EMS is sending a strike team to North Carolina to help with the Hurricane Florence response. First responders came to Southwest Florida one year ago to help with Hurricane Irma relief, and now Lee County EMS is returning the favor. Two ambulances and a supervisor unit left for Sarasota today and will meet three more ambulances there. From Sarasota, the teams will head to Wilmington, N.C., to assist with the response to Hurricane Florence.
