A Lee County Circuit Court judge who was arrested last weekend in a prostitution sting has resigned. Judge Jay Rosman of the 20th judicial circuit was one of six men arrested in Naples as part of an undercover sting. Police said Rosman contacted an undercover officer over the phone and arranged to meet at a hotel. When they met up, police said Rosman negotiated $300 for sex. His resignation is effective immediately. In a letter about Rosman’s resignation, Judge Michael McHugh, Chief Judge of the 20th judicial circuit, said he would take over Rosman’s civil docket. The probate docket will be split between five civil judges, including McHugh.
