In Lee County, A judge sentenced Tommy Willimas to 25 years in prison for conspiracy to commit racketeering as a member of the Lake Boyz gang. Williams is the fifth accused member to go on trial. Four others went to trial but were acquitted.
A jury found Williams guilty earlier in November. The gang is accused of terrorizing the Harlem Lakes Community for more than two decades with crimes of drugs, assaults, and gun violence. During the sentencing hearing, the state argued that Williams was a promoter of the gang through his lyrics and videos taunting rival gangs and outsiders. They recommended a minimum of 25 years considering Williams’ criminal history dating back to 2009.
