The Manatee County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 37-year-old man who they say is an active heroin dealer in Manatee and Sarasota Counties. The Special Investigations Unit began to track Joshua Smith after arrest warrants were issued for Violation of Probation from previous heroin sales. Smith was arrested at a Bradenton motel around 1 a.m. Sunday. In the motel room, police allegedly found a large amount of meth and fentanyl. He’s now facing probation violation and a long list of drug charges.
