A judge is now forcing Democratic leaders to wait before naming a new congressional candidate after 17th district candidate April Freeman passed away last week.
A vote for her replacement was scheduled for Saturday, but some of those candidates in the mix would then be seeking two offices.
A hearing is now set for noon today. A judge will hear arguments as to why the law barring candidates from running in multiple races should not apply.
