The town of Longboat Key can finally go ahead with the demolition of nearly all of the abandoned Colony Beach Resort.
A state judge handed down a ruling late Wednesday night in the town’s favor.
Town officials told ABC-7 the demolition process will start a week from today.
All but one of the buildings can be torn down immediately. The lone one left out, a three-unit building, must still undergo an evaluation report which is scheduled to be done by the end of the day today.
