North Port High School has a new principal.
The superintendent says it has promoted Lamarque Elementary School principal Brandon Johnson to the high school.
Johnson takes over for David Jones.
Jones began his time as principal at North Port High School four years ago.
He took over as principal of Sarasota High School earlier this month.
After Johnson accepted the principal’s job at Lamarque two years ago, the district says the school grade improved from a C to an A.
