In-fighting within the Sarasota County Commission has led some to demand that the board be more specific on the issues they want to highlight.
Among the issues and top priorities, the state funding water quality projects, red tide mitigation, the Dona Bay Watershed Restoration, and hurricane evacuation shelters.
Some commissioners asked for county staff to not make the planned priorities “broad subjects,” while others insisted the list is sufficiently specific.
