Kentucky State Police have issued an IAN Alert for six-year-old Roman Heilman, who was reported missing in Louisa, Kentucky. Roman was last seen at 3:45 p.m. Sunday at 948 Tadpole Road. He is described as 60 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, and was wearing a green fur jacket, red and white monster pajama pants, and Crocs. Officials say they believe he may be in danger.
Lawrence County Emergency Management posted the alert on Facebook, and volunteers are being asked to join the search. One detail shared by investigators stands out: Roman is known to respond to the song “If You’re Happy and You Know It.” That kind of comfort cue can matter if someone encounters a frightened child.
Even though this is happening far from the Suncoast, many of our neighbors have family and friends across the country, and sharing an alert is free and fast. If you are traveling through that region or know people who are, keep an eye out. Anyone with information or a possible sighting should call 911 immediately rather than posting details on social media.
