The state’s sales-tax “holiday” starts this week on disaster-preparedness supplies in advance of the official start of the Atlantic Hurricane season.
The weeklong holiday includes everything from tarps and fuel tanks to coolers and generators.
The previous sales tax holiday was only three days- this is the first year the tax-free period has been extended to a full week.
