Sarasota County residents are now eligible to apply for Individual Assistance due to damages from Hurricane Idalia impacts.

In partnership with Florida state agencies, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration, a Mobile Disaster Recovery Center will be open in North Port to provide help with applying for federal assistance and disaster loans, updating applications and learning about other available recovery resources.
The Mobile DRC will be located at North Port Library, 13800 Tamiami Trail, North Port. Open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sept. 28 through Sept. 30.
Additional dates and locations may be added as need is determined.

The American Red Cross has initiated its Financial Assistance Program. Sign up for appointments at redcross.org/idalia or by calling 800-RED CROSS.

Individuals can also call the Florida Recovers Support Line at 877-771-6667 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or visit floridarecovers.org to see if they qualify for temporary sheltering assistance and to learn more about food, transportation and health care assistance.
