More than 100 volunteers turned out yesterday for the annual ‘Christmas in the Park’ in Sarasota. It was the tenth annual event in which volunteers feed and hand out clothes for the homeless. More than 100 volunteers were on hand to serve food and pack care bags with clothes and toiletries. Sarasota Sheriff’s Deputies were also on hand, giving out bikes to kids. Santa made an appearance while organizers raffled out various prizes as well. In all, organizers say they were able to feed and clothe more than 300 people this year.
