A Texas republican plans to push for relief for Texans and Floridians in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Andrew, as well as Maria. Kevin Brady, who chairs the House Ways and Means Committee wants to lessen the restrictions for those who plan to deduct property losses, as well as give those people the ability to pull money from their retirement without penalty. Florida Congressman Vern Buchanan, who represents the area just north of Venice and North Port is on board with the idea.
