FORT MCCOY, Fla. (AP) — Officials say a 52-year-old woman who was pulled from a burning home on Thanksgiving Day has lost her battle to survive. It took 23 firefighters from 10 units to battle the blaze, in which crews found Dianne Bissonette trapped in a bedroom. She was taken to a hospital in Gainesville where she died on Friday. Marion County spokesman Nick Zoller tells the Ocala Star-Banner that Bissonette was a longtime county employee. The state fire marshal’s office is investigating along with detectives from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
