Two men are accused of beating up on two homeless men in Port Charlotte with a hammer. The victims reported the incident to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responding found them living in a tent in woods near Lullaby Street and Cedarwood Avenue. Both had head injuries and one was transported to a hospital. They told deputies they were attacked by three males and a female who threatened one of them with a semi-automatic handgun. The two people arrested are identified as Tony Kane and Justin Blosser, who were both found at the Knights Inn in Port Charlotte. Both are charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Additionally, Kane is charged with violation of probation and Blosser is charged with failure to register as a convicted felon.
