A high speed chase happened in Port Charlotte this morning. Melissa King, 41, was arrested after leading deputies on a chase after being stopped on Komo Street.
King got into one car crash during the chase. She made her way to Tangelo Avenue, saw a dead end and turned the car into a driveway. King, who was driving with a man in the passenger seat, then got out of the car and tried to run away. According to deputies, drug paraphernalia was found in the car.
