Florida has started bracing for heavy rain and flooding this week.

A storm in the gulf keeps working its way up to a tropical depression, and it may bring a lot of rain to the state.

The National Hurricane Center says the southern half of the state may receive six inches of rain by Wednesday.

Public health officials say this type of weather could hamper the work to control mosquitoes that carry Zika.
