A large amusement center in Sarasota had to be evacuated this morning over a HAZ-MAT situation. Fire crews responded to what some witnesses described as a gas-like odor coming from an office center connected to Livingston’s Amusement Center on Clark Center Road. The building was evacuated and five people who were inside at the time were assessed by EMS crews. At this time, the investigation is ongoing, but crews do not know what the source of the odor was or what caused it.
The building has been cleared and those who were evacuated have been allowed to return.
