A team of workers with both Habitat for Humanity and AmeriCorps are teaming up this week to build a home -from the ground up- for a Charlotte County veteran. The group from AmeriCorps came down initially to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, and are sticking around to help Habitat volunteers. They say in all, they hope to build 30 homes in Charlotte County by the end of the year. Officials did not disclose the name of the veteran who will be getting the new home, only that it will go to the man and his son. The team expects to finish the house by St Patrick’s Day.
