The plan for the growth of Venice has been approved after years of discussion. The plan that is designed to affect the city for at least the next decade was approved Tuesday by a 5-2 vote. The two new members of the city council, Mitzie Fielder and Chuck Newsom, voted differently with Newsom casting a vote for the plan. The minutes of the meeting will be available on the city’s website.
