Federal officials no longer consider green sea turtles “endangered.”
U.S. Fish and Wildlife say it has taken these Florida-native turtles off the list.
The agency partially attributes federal conservation efforts for the turtles’ growing population.
State wildlife officials, however, still list the turtles as locally endangered.
