Gov. Rick Scott made a stop at Manatee Technical College Wednesday and announced a $200,000 grant for student training. The grant is the first project that will benefit from Florida’s job growth grant fund. The funding will allow purchase equipment, as well as increase the workforce for manufacturing and production tech courses. Scott touted the fact that Florida has created roughly 1.5 million jobs across since December of 2010.
