Less than 24 hours after being heckled by a large crowd of protesters in Venice over his handling of the red tide problem, Gov. Rick Scott announced an additional $4 million in state grants to help communities impacted by red tide.
The group Monday protested Scott’s environmental record as a whole- signing off on legislation repealing a mandatory septic tank inspection program, cutting $700M from the state’s water management districts, and pushing to speed up and streamline environmental permitting.
