Governor Rick Scott made a stop on the Suncoast Thursday to highlight some of his environmental projects and investments.
The governor stopped by Mote Marine Laboratory to talk about specific parts of the nearly $89B state budget that was passed last month. Among the highlights were more than $100M for land preservation via the Florida Forever program, nearly a quarter billion for Everglades restoration and protection, and $50M for protection of natural springs across the state.
