The State of Florida plans to increase workers compensation benefits for first responders. The change would allow coverage for post-traumatic stress disorder for the responders. Gov. Rick Scott signed legislation that will allow emergency personnel that includes fire crews, police and paramedics to receive treatment even without sustaining injury in the field.
