If you live in Sarasota County and you’re having problems with mosquitos, one possible solution is mosquito fish. They eat mosquito larvae, provide excellent biological control for mosquitoes in the aquatic stages. Most healthy ponds, lakes and canals contain mosquito fish. Mosquito fish are available from Sarasota County Mosquito Management Services for newly dug ponds, fountains, livestock tanks and rain barrels.
