One of the largest independently owned restaurant companies in the region has added to its arsenal.
Gecko’s Hospitality Group has acquired Marker 4 in Venice, part of the Fisherman’s Wharf Marina complex.
The Business Observer reports the company plans on rebranding the location as Dockside Waterfront Grill at Marker 4, and that could happen by next month.
Gecko’s co-owner Mike Quillen says this latest move has followed suggestions from friends Venice, Nokomis and Englewood to make a home in the area.
