Gas prices jumped up in Florida over the past week. AAA released a study on Monday which showed gas prices went up seven cents in the past week. Prices at the pump statewide now average $2.37, just a penny less than the national average. The highest prices in Florida are around West Palm and Boca, where drivers are paying around $2.45 per gallon…the cheapest is up north in Pensacola and Tallahassee, where gas is averaging $2.25 per gallon. We’re somewhere in the middle- gas is averaging around $2.30 in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.
