Motorists continued to see a slow decline in prices at the pump this past week. According to AAA, increased domestic oil production and low seasonal demand continue to push gas prices lower. That trend should continue for now with oil and gas inventories above average for this time of year. in Florida, the average price for a gallon of regular is $2.28, down three cents from a week ago. In Englewood, regular averages $2.25 a gallon, down four cents. In North Port, the average price is $2.22, down three cents and, in Venice, regular averages $2.23, down two cents a gallon.
