Increased U.S. crude oil production and lower gasoline demand has kept downward pressure on prices at the pump. Triple-A reports that, in Florida, the average price for a gallon of regular has declined for 24 consecutive days, dropping a total of 10 cents. The statewide average today is two-31, down four cents from a week ago. In Englewood, regular averages two-26 a gallon, down seven cents. In North Port, the average is two-25, down four cents. And, in Venice, the average is two-24, down six cents. Triple-A does expect an uptick in prices in February as refinery maintenance season begins.
