Gas prices are continuing to drop, but there’s still a ways to go before they return to pre-hurricane levels. Gasoline prices in Florida fell another five cents last week but remain 18 cents higher than before Hurricane Harvey struck Texas in late August and disrupted refinery operations. AAA said the average per-gallon price in Florida fell to $2.42 on Monday, down from $2.73 when Irma hit. Locally, gas prices range from as low as $2.17 in Venice up to nearly $2.40 in Punta Gorda.
