North Port will -finally- officially have a new police chief as of tomorrow night. That’s when a swearing in ceremony is set for Todd Garrison.

The 45-year old had been a captain and district commander at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, where he has served since 1994.

In a letter to city leaders, Garrison said he is “excited to be a part of the North Port family while looking forward to leading the Department in a City with so much growth and potential.”

That ceremony is set for 6 o’clock tomorrow night.
