People have come to First United Methodist Church to say goodbye to Mary Knowlton.
She died last week in a training exercise involving an officer at the citizens police academy.
Lee Coel fired a weapon at the 73-year-old Knowlton, but it had live rounds in it instead of blanks. How that happened remains unclear at this point.
The police chief has taken full responsibility for his department’s actions.
The investigation has included the FDLE.
