A five-year prison sentence was given to a former United States Congresswoman busted for fraud while turning money supposed to be for a charity into a slush fund. Democrat Corrine Brown has been ordered to report to prison in January to start her sentence, but has said she will appeal the conviction She was convicted in May by a jury on 18 charges that also included lying on her tax returns. She could have been sentenced to nine years.
