There are only two days left in North Port’s annual 12 days of Giving Food and Toy Drive and the city has only collected about one-fourth of the food it normally does. North Port spokesperson Josh Taylor tells the Englewood Sun that the city has gotten enough toys but, for some families, food and toiletries are even more of a necessity. The drive goes through tomorrow at 5 PM. Items can be dropped off at several locations, including North Port City Hall. Food collected goes to the San Pedro church food pantry; toys go to North Port Social Services.
